SESSION SYNOPSIS
New Jersey is in a commanding position to
stimulate new economic benefits by capitalizing on the multi-million dollar
aquaculture market. The state’s coastal
location and proximity to the largest consumer markets in the nation signify
that aquaculture can be a thriving and vital industry in the State. With federal and state support, Rutgers has constructed a Multi-species Aquaculture
Demonstration Facility (MADF), a critical component of this economic
initiative. Using New
Jersey’s natural assets, the MADF can be used to stimulate
economic growth, provide employment opportunities, act as a business incubator,
assist in aquatic restoration efforts and move New Jersey’s aquaculture production into the
global market place. Learn about clam
production in our coastal lagoons, and how the MADF will help revitalize the
oyster industry in the Delaware Bay.
Free samples of Cape May
salt oysters outside CAFÉ NJ immediately following seminar!!
